Sposato is associate professor of musicology at the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston. His most recent book, The Price of Assimilation: Felix Mendelssohn and the Nineteenth-Century Anti-Semitic Tradition (Oxford University Press, 2006), was named a Choice magazine Outstanding Academic Title for 2006 and a Royal Philharmonic Society Music Award finalist. Paul and Sylvia Steinberg Professor of American Jewish History at New York University. Professor Diner is the author of numerous books in the field of American Jewish history, American immigration history and the history of American women. Her most recent book, We Remember with Reverence and Love: American Jews and the Myth of Silence After the Holocaust, won the 2010 National Jewish Book Award.
