Is There a Peace Process Anymore?

Thu 12 Apr. Steinhardt Building, 35 West 67th Street, New York, 10023. Gregor Ehrlich, 212-601-1000, gehrlich@92ndsty.org. Makor - [events]

Matthew Levitt, David Aufhauser and others / Gary Rosenblatt, moderator After several generations of failed diplomacy and outright war, is there still a Middle East peace process? Has the final picture—the "road map"—changed? What effects have the rise of Hamas and the decline of the Palestinian Authority, the war with Hezbollah, the belligerence of Iran and the war in Iraq had on prospects for peace between Israel and its neighbors? A panel of experts offers the latest analysis.

Matthew Levitt is the author of Hamas: Politics, Charity, and Terrorism in the Service of Jihad. David Aufhauser is a fellow at the Center for Strategic & International Studies, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a director of the Atlantic Council. He is the former General Counsel of Treasury and Chair of Terrorist Financing at the National Security Council. Gary Rosenblatt is the editor and publisher of The Jewish Week.
