Loving Jews in the Movies and Beyond Helene Meyers, PhD, Moderator The National Council of Jewish Women Austin Chapter invites the community to a provocative program. How are intimate relationships-gay and straight-represented in Jewish film? What might these representations have to offer to discussions of Jewish continuity, Jewish pluralism, and Jewish sexual ethics? This program will be a mixture of lecture, discussion, and film clips. Helene Meyers is a Professor of English and former chair of Feminist Studies at Southwestern University. She's currently writing a book on Jewish identity in contemporary literature and film.
