Margalit Fox As a reporter in the obituary department of The New York Times, Margalit Fox has dispatched some of the leading cultural figures of our era, among them Betty Friedan and Susan Sontag. She has also memorialized many unsung heroes, including a textile conservator who washed Napoleon’s nightshirt and the inventor of Stove Top Stuffing. Fox has written on language, culture and ideas for the Times, New York Newsday, Variety and other publications.
