Jonathan Feldman grew up a typical Ivy League-bound Upper West Side Jewish preppy. Instead of going into law, business or medicine, however, Feldman discovered his calling elsewhere, becoming an Orthodox Jew, studying Jewish philosophy and mysticism and becoming associate director of the outreach program Manhattan Jewish Experience.
