Q&A with producer Mark DeAngelis and director Lisa Leeman Leah Welbel says she didn’t survive the Holocaust to watch the Jewish population decimated by interfaith marriage. So when her grandson “marries out,” she stops speaking to him. But when her granddaughter marries a Christian, she takes a different approach, hoping that he might convert.
