Workshop members will work together to create exciting dramas with interesting characters, dramatic tension, and believable dialogue. We will discuss plays, musicals, and films as models for writing, choosing works by dramatists such as Harold Pinter, Edward Albee, Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd), Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine), Martin Scorsese and Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver), Tina Howe, Tony Kushner (Angels in America) Alan Ball (American Beauty), Wendy Wasserstein, and David Mamet.
