This television series depicts the lives, loves, and dilemmas faced by modern Orthodox Jewish 30-something singles living in Jerusalem’s Katamon neighborhood (known as “the swamp”). It has captivated Israelis of all religious persuasions in the same way that “Friends” enthralled Americans for a decade.
The title “Srugim,” by the way, comes from the Hebrew word for the crocheted kipot (head-coverings) worn by modern Orthodox men.
Co-presented by the Consulate General of Israel New England.
