Reflections on Sweden During the Second World War: Interdisciplinary Perspectives Sweden's neutrality during World War II remains controversial more than 60 years after the war. University of Washington Department of Scandinavian Studies faculty will explore Sweden's role in the conflict. Professor Christine Ingebritsen is a political scientist who researches the position of smaller states in international relations. Professor Terje Leiren is an historian whose interests range from questions of national identity and ethnicity to forms of cultural expression. Dr. Ia Dubois is a literary scholar with a special focus on ethnicity and multiculturalism in Sweden.
