Quiches, Kugels and Couscous

Tue 30 Nov, 6-8 pm. Where: French Cultural Center, 53 Marlborough Street, Boston, MA 02116 What is Jewish cooking in France? Joan Nathan traveled the country to discover the answer and, along the way, she found that Jewish cooking is more alive than ever: traditional dishes are honored, yet have acquired a certain French finesse. All that Joan Nathan has tasted and absorbed is in Quiches, Kugels and Couscous, an extraordinary book, rich in a history that dates back 2,000 years and alive with the personal stories of Jewish people in France today. Talk followed by book signing and reception. Quiches, Kugels and Couscous will be available for purchase at the event. Onion quiches, based on Joan Nathan's recipe, will be generously donated by Brasserie JO. 126 High Street, Boston, 02110. Executive Director, 617-457-8500, info@cjp.org.
