Ongoing Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30 pm. Feel like a new, fun and challenging hobby? Give Argentine Tango a try. Confirm dates as there is no dancing during breaks.
We will do individual exercises and partner activities to understand this improvisational dance! We will explore various concepts of connection (to oneself, to the music, to the dance partner, to the dance floor, to other social dancers).
Parking is available on campus after 5 pm.
What to wear? If you own a pair of salsa shoes, jazz/ballet flats, or Toms, those work great. If not, bring a thick pair of socks to dance in. Partner Dance? You are welcome to join with or without a partner. Those who come alone will be paired up.

Want to learn the basic figures? Do you have a friend who might like to dance and this would be a good way to ease them into it? The dance studios are located on the bottom floor of the Reitz Union. Parking on campus is free and open after 4:30 pm.
What to wear: If you own a pair of salsa shoes or jazz/ballet flats, those work great. Toms also are a comfortable option. If not, bring a thick pair of socks to dance in. Fancy shoes are not necessary and please avoid flip flops or tennis shoes.

The dance studios are located on the bottom floor of the Reitz Union. Parking on campus is free and open after 4:30 pm.
What to wear: If you own a pair of salsa shoes or jazz/ballet flats, those work great. Toms also are a comfortable option. If not, bring a thick pair of socks to dance in. Fancy shoes are not necessary and please avoid flip flops or tennis shoes.

Want to learn the basic figures? Do you have a friend who might like to dance and this would be a good way to ease them into it? Would you like to hear again some of the basic figures—maybe have some questions answered? Want to review moves? Can you come to help and partner with new dancers? All are welcome. There is no charge for these workshops as they are sponsored by UCG.
The class will be on Wednesday evenings beginning September 28 and ending October 19 at UCG in Reimer Hall (the same room as our regular dance). We will be there from 6 - 8. We will be using recorded music. Please join us.

This seven week long immersion into Sacred Dance will explore the ancient art of Bellydance in correlation to the seven Chakras. Each week we will focus on one of Chakras and work on the dance isolations that activate that energy point in the body. At the end of this course you will understand how to raise Kundalini energy through dance techniques for the purpose of physical, emotional and spiritual health and well-being. This class will help you feel more connected to empowered to embody the divine feminine energy of the universe.
