Seriously Funny: Humor and Jewish Culture beginning Fall 2008 Our year-long series will examine the ethnic, political, philosophical and theological implications of humor in Jewish culture, texts and subtexts. Artists, scholars and visiting guests include David Rakoff, Ted Merwin and Stephen Whitfield to name only a few. Save the Date for Our Fall Visiting Artist
David Rakoff is the author of the hilarious and best selling anthologies, Fraud and Don’t Get Too Comfortable . A two-time recipient of the Lambda Book Award for Humor, David Rakoff is a regular contributor to National Public Radio’s This American Life and The New York Times Magazine. He is also a correspondent for Outside and writer-at-large for GQ. David has worked in theatre with David and Amy Sedaris on their plays Stitches, The Little Freida Mysteries, The Book of Liz and the OBIE award-winning One Woman Shoe.
