Professor Marion Girard Dorsey, University of New Hampshire For Britain, World War II was not just one war, in location, enemy, or weapon. In this talk, we will discuss some of the propaganda and diplomatic battles Britain faced depending upon her opponent. Additionally, the lecture will focus on the struggles not just with Britain’s foes, but with her allies and colonies (by examining the miracle of Dunkirk, the “Quit India” movement, and the danger of chemical warfare.)
