Founded 45 years ago in memory of Israeli cellist Thelma Bentwich Yellin, the Thelma Yellin High School of Arts was established to nurture the most artistically gifted students in Israel. One of the school’s performing ensembles, the April Quintet, makes its New York debut. The quintet includes Roy Harmon on trumpet, Dean Tsur on saxophone, Hod Mushanov on piano, Itai Shahar on bass and Amir Bresler on drums.
