Nia Holistic Movement with Sarit

Ongoing Sundays, 10-11 am. Join Sarit for weekly outdoor Nia classes at the Thomas Center Gardens. Nia is a low-impact movement technique, inspired by dance, martial arts, and mindfulness practices. Nia is easily adaptable to all levels of fitness and experience. Nia creates a playful and powerful experience, boosting pleasure, strength, mobility, stability, and overall well-being. Small group classes are facilitated in a relaxed, welcoming, and non-judgmental atmosphere. Sarit Ben-David Sela is a Black Belt Nia Instructor, who has been sharing her passion to Nia with the Gainesville community since 2011. To RSVP and for questions, please contact Sarit. In December, Kanapaha issues a descriptive sales/availability listing of bamboos that are being offered during January and February on a dug-to-order basis. Orders for bamboo may be phoned in to 352-372-4981 starting January 1st. Buyers will be advised of the date orders will be ready for pickup and payment will be needed when orders are placed. There are no refunds issued after the bamboo has been dug. Bamboo Sale is in January and February only. Bird Walk

Birders of all levels welcome. In December, Kanapaha issues a descriptive sales/availability listing of bamboos that are being offered during January and February on a dug-to-order basis. Birders of all levels welcome. The bird walk takes place at Sweetwater Wetlands Park, which is located on the south side of Gainesville, 3/4 mile east of the intersection of SW 13th Street, US 441 and Williston Road. Look for the sign on the south side of the road. Those interested will meet at the covered shelter by the parking lot. Bird walks continue every Wednesday from September to May, at 8:30 am. In December, Kanapaha issues a descriptive sales/availability listing of bamboos that are being offered during January and February on a dug-to-order basis. Limited Commercias Landscape Manitenance Workshop

The Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance Workshop trains commercial landscape maintenance personnel to make correct pesticide applications to ornamentals and plant beds only. Attendance to the full day is required before sitting for the license’s exam. To apply for this exam, visit https://aesecomm.freshfromflorida.com. Click on pest control and then limited licenses. You can pay online and then you will be given a voucher number. Please bring the printed receipt and voucher number the day of the class.
