Ongoing Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30 pm. Feel like a new, fun and challenging hobby? Give Argentine Tango a try. Confirm dates as there is no dancing during breaks.
We will do individual exercises and partner activities to understand this improvisational dance! We will explore various concepts of connection (to oneself, to the music, to the dance partner, to the dance floor, to other social dancers).
Parking is available on campus after 5 pm.
What to wear? If you own a pair of salsa shoes, jazz/ballet flats, or Toms, those work great. If not, bring a thick pair of socks to dance in. Partner Dance? You are welcome to join with or without a partner. Those who come alone will be paired up.

Who: Everyone can come. The beginner class is geared for people who have never danced before or who want to practice the basics. The intermediate class is for those who have been to at least some classes and is for you if you feel ready and confident enough to learn some new steps. The advanced class is for those who have been dancing for a long while now and will feature more complicated steps, so ask a teacher to make sure you are experienced enough for this level.

These friendly and exciting teachers were discovered by our own Thuy Carroll on one of her trips to Buenos Aires and she loved them so much she invited them to come teach in the U.S. Last May they came for the first time and were a big hit and toured many cities in Florida. Last August Jorge was also a judge at the World Championships in Buenos Aires.
They are noted for their elegant and musical style of dancing close embrace, and their unique teaching methodology bringing high level technical concepts to social dancers using simple and easy to understand explanations, training drills and demonstrations. These friendly and exciting teachers were discovered by our own Thuy Carroll on one of her trips to Buenos Aires and she loved them so much she invited them to come teach in the U.S. Last May they came for the first time and were a big hit and toured many cities in Florida. Last August Jorge was also a judge at the World Championships in Buenos Aires.
They are noted for their elegant and musical style of dancing close embrace, and their unique teaching methodology bringing high level technical concepts to social dancers using simple and easy to understand explanations, training drills and demonstrations. The 2018 UF/IFAS Center for Landscape Conservation and Ecology Urban Landscape Summit will feature presentations of applied research or extension projects pertaining to urban landscape issues in Florida. Possible urban landscape topics include technology use in the landscape, HOA/homeowners incentives, or landscape maintenance.

He has since found his passion for competing and teaching others.
